The World Bank, as a global public institution, provides a public good which is much appreciated by the community in DC. It is it's excellent bookshop, World Bank's Infoshop, located at Pennsylvannia and 19th streets in Washington DC.

The petition is that it is kept open.

The bookstore is a contribution to the public, and I understood that the W. Bank is subject to a covenant to provide public space in the first floor of the J Building. Therefore I do not understand why the Bank intends to close the Info shop, that space cannot be used for office space for the Bank, but must remain open to the public, in the same way as the Visitor Center in the IMF building at the corner of Penn and 19 Street

This bookstore contains carefully curated, hard-to-find books that I depend on for my research as a writer of screenplays that treat the human experience of international issues.

I urge WB to reconsider their decision of closing the World Bank bookstore. This store is an excellent source of information/education about international matters of great interest.

The World Bank bookstore was where I spent a good portion on my freshman year. I would go in, peruse the selections, and read as much as possible. This wonderful store should not close but rather remain open so that not only the World Bank employees but the residents of Foggy Bottom can enjoy its wonderful selections. Please do not close this bookshop.

This is a unique bookstore that adds value to our work - it carries many items that would be difficult to find.

Great shop; I have found the collection here to be a great source of inspiration and global ideas which are very relevant to and applicable at work.
