The Second Cup coffee shop in Bldg 89 has had the soup and sandwich service discontinued and is being closed over the summer. This area of Bldg 89 not only provides food items but also a venue for meeting, exchange of ideas, and socializing. With these trends we are concerned that the coffee shop is being phased out completely. Please sign this petition so we can let the U of G Hospitality services know that we value the coffee shop and would like the services to continue.

The momentum is incredible. Hospitality services cannot ignore how much Bldg 89 relies on this spot now.

Productivity at OVC will surely drop without a steady supply of Paradiso, the daily friendly faces, and the impromptu conversations with colleagues over the coffee counter!!
This is the only coffee shop on campus I will buy from- way better than the machine in the cafeteria. I don't understand why this decision was announced so quickly without any consultation. It's not just students buying coffee- many of us work here all summer long!
Please keep the 2ndCup open AND fully stocked during the summer. The coffee cart in ANNU has already been closed and replaced by a machine which makes horrible and very expensive coffee and tea. Thank you for your consideration
Miss the soup and sandwiches. Would miss the convenience of onsite coffee as well. There isn't enough time on a coffee break to go elsewhere. Besides the weatherman doesn't always cooperate making even a short venture out uncomfortable.
We need this Second Cup to stay open year round even if for July & August we have shortened hours. We in the building depend on it. We only have a 15 minute break and by the time we walk to our lockersfor our coffee mugs then have to go to another building to get our coffee our break is over without even drinking our coffee.
coffee, food, meeting place for students, staff, faculty; thus second cup in PABI is central to the community in this building and others around it and should stay open!
the lost productivity due to reduced caffeine levels is justification enough. the economics check out.

The staff, faculty and grad students are still there all summer - the world does not have to revolve around what the OVC DVM students do. We all matte as well!
