The Kanawha County School Board thinks they can erase our history while we sit back and stay quiet. We are almost at one thousand signatures so push this link to everyone you know right now and show them we are not backing down.

This was and is our school and it's name and history should not be erased because the media says the southern name is associated with hate crimes. Keep the name Stonewall Jackson and "Our strong band cannot be broken, formed at Stonewall Jackson High"!
When will we stop being "offended" every time someone sneezes??? SJMS has been an honorable name for years on end. Now because a maniac goes on a rampage [which had absolutely nothing to do with SJHS or the flag] we are being asked to delete our history.
My mother graduated from the university on the hill as she called it!!!! ::-) :-) she died in 1993 but was proud to be in the class of 1943. That's when they graduated in Jan and May she graduated in Jan. Please just keep it Stonewall Jackson thanks
We need to stop this political correctness movement and cease censoring our history. If you don't learn from history you are doomed to repeat it. Stonewall Jackson is a name entrenched in WV as well as US history. Do NOT scrub that name off of the school!
This is unheard of, Stonewall Jackson Middle School/or Stonewall Jackson High School is a legend on the West Side, need to keep the name. We all have so many great memories at S J it would be a shame to change it. Keep the petition going.

I went to Stonewall Jackson High School. The name is a part of our countries history. I am very concerned about the push to erase the history of our country.

I don't know if I'm old enough to sign a petition since I am 17... But even if my name doesn't count because of my age, at least I know the difference between heritage and hate. Don't take down our heritage and history because of an idiot in South Carolina.
