The Hammocks is getting a second entrance and it needs to be stopped. Opening this roadway will expose our neighborhood to increased crime, higher traffic volume, and unnecessary safety risks, particularly to our children, while also negatively impacting our quality of life for all. This roadway opening is not reflected in the site plans currently posted, and for that reason alone, it should not proceed.
While the road connection from Flamingo to Centennial has support, the proposed second entrance into the subdivision at Sunset Preserve does not. The current design shows the pedestrian path crossing the street diagonally, with visibility obstructed by the berm and surrounding trees. This creates a serious hazard for walkers, runners, and especially our children.
As a community, we need to come together to address this issue and push for this entrance to either be stopped entirely or restricted to emergency-use only for the safety of our neighborhood.
Stop that traffic road that you’re guys open right now over our bedroom. It’s not legal to do that. That’s not right for this community.

Wonderful thing about the neighborhood is how secluded it is, and it will be in the community's best interest to keep it that way.

My Husband and I bought our house on the pretense that this road would stay closed and so have many others in the hammocks.

I live a few houses down from that dead end and signed my contact with the information and assurance that that road would remain closed. My future children need to be safe to play with the other children on the neighborhood and if that opens up both crime and inattentive drivers will inhibit that.

Please limit our exposure to safety related items by not cutting in a secondary egress.

This should ONLY be a walking/running/bike / golf cart road. Anything more, is a huge disaster to our community!
