we actually did it, the name is staying and the bluejays arent going anywhere. thanks to everyone who stuck with this because it really paid off. keep an eye on the school board updates since we still need to make sure they follow through.

My son Erick is a Southfield BlueJay! Why should both schools lose out and go with a new name?
A rose by any other name is not as sweet when it's your beloved alma mater! Please keep the Bluejays as the symbol of our great Southfield High!!
Please Ma'am/Sir! Pleasure consider the reach history of our beloved Southfield High School! It is unfair to close down Southfield-Latherup based upon enrollment! A formal hearing should've been open to the public to discuss our concern ms as tax payers! It would behoove you to reconsider the feelings of the district without making hasty decisions. It would prevent rival fights and confusion!
As an alumni of Southfield High it should remain the home of the Blue Jays. It's the oldest of the high schools and for historical purposes is why it should remain the Blue Jays.
Why should the remaining school change its name to accommodate the now defunct school? 10 mile and Lahser is known for one thing, Southfield Senior High School aka SHS, home of the Southfield Bluejays. C/O 88

C/O 2002 Both high school buildings will still be occupied. I don't see why the names can't stay the same.
