This petition is to express our outrage that Mr. Neronde (4th grade teacher at SLVE school) was released from employment with the school district. We are parents, children, community members, and concerned advocates who request a revisit of this decision. We believe strongly that Mr. Neronde is an excellent teacher, counselor, and friend to our children, and is delivering the mission of the school effectively and whole heartedly.

We will do everything in our power to right this wrong.

The momentum behind this petition is proving that our school district cannot ignore the loss of a teacher who puts kids first. Post this link to your Facebook page immediately and email your representative to request a formal review of this firing.

Our whole family loved having Mr. Neronde as a teacher. He was so warm and caring, while at the same time managing the class so well. As a weekly parent volunteer, I had a good chance to see him in action, and I really enjoyed observing his teaching and how his skills grew during the school year. He will be sorely missed.

My daughter Sammie has grown a great deal in Mr. Neronde's class and I feel like it would be a HUGE error on the districts side to let him go. There are very few people these days that care about the children as he does.

My daughter, Rachel, really benefits from the structure and teaching style that Mr. Neronde is providing. I believe SLE is making a big mistake in not renewing his contract for the 2015-2016 school session.

I think it is a huge mistake to fire (force to resign) good teachers when our schools are already understaffed. I hope the Board and the Principal reconsider their decision and listen to the parents of the children they are teaching. Ultimately we vote for these Boards and pay the salaries of the teaching staff.

My grandson has flourished in Mr. Neronde's class this year. Why let a great teacher go? Especially when men rarely choose to teach at the elementary level. He is a role model in that regard.

I have hear great things about Mr. Neronde, from a friend of mine, who's daughter is in his class. Her daughter is doing better, as a direct result from Mr Neronde. I can not understand why you would want to change that? If he's a great teacher, why is he being removed from his duties? Let Mr. Neronde teach!!!

My granddaughter has Mr. Neronde for math and just loves him. He has made a big difference in her ability with the new math. Such a disappointment.
