Dear Parents,
The school board has decided that our school numbers do not support having a vice principle and we are in jeopardy of losing Mr. Lalonde. As you are all aware Mr. Lalonde is integral part of our school family and has been a tremendous attribute to the school and benefit to our students. Our school would suffer if we were to lose him. We are petitioning the school board to allow him to stay and we need your help!

Reaching this point has been exhausting but seeing the support coming in gives me the strength to keep pushing forward. It is clear that I am not the only one who sees how much this school needs Mr. Lalonde to stay. We have a lot of hard work left to do but now I know we are not doing it alone.

Mr. Lalonde is a positive force at Fairmount. The VP position at Fairmount was created not very long ago. Removing it now not only unfairly reverses the original decision to have a VP, it also removes a senior staff member after Fairmount has had too many changes as the senior staff level.
With a population of nearly 500 students, a VP is warranted. Without a VP the school and students will suffer. The success of our students is dependent on keeping this important and crucial resource. Roma Perneroski
The high risk/ special needs child in my home depends on this man to not only get him through the day, but also sometimes to get him into the building and keep him there where he makes this child feel safe and comfortable.
Mr. Lalonde is a great asset for Fairmount. He raises the energy level of the kids by engaging them in various physical and outdoor activities. Besides, he brings the kids together and motivates them to participate as teams. I hope that Mr. Lalonde can continue his great work and be part of the Fairmount family. Thanks.
This man has been a godsend for my son. He’s included him in things he wouldn’t have otherwise been included in. He’s boosted his self esteem, he’s left school property to find my son on bad days to make him feel safe and not alone. He’s a huge asset to the school and it would a devastating loss to the Fairmount community if he were to go.
Best school ever! He makes all the difference in the world!
His ability to address conflict while keeping calm, rational and showing children that there is an alternative to negativity is inspiring.

I can't imagine Fairmount without a VP, and Mr. Lalonde posseses leadership, enthusiasm, and inspiration that unites an increasingly diverse student population, while tending thoughtfully to individual students with special needs. We need him; I hope he can stay!
