Why can't the control rooms be moved from central belt to Aberdeen and Inverness instead? I agree with the other comments and it is very worrying jobs being moved away from here. We need more jobs not less!

Local knowledge is vital if calls to police and fire services are to be handled safely and effectively. This petition deserves the widest possible support.

Local police/fire crew know the area so well and the local names for some of the places/areas that someone down in Glasgow would not and that could mean getting to someone a lot faster and save lives! What's more important saving lives or money!!! We need and rely on these people's knowledge of our Aberdeenshire area as it is a vast area to cover.

Who needs a centralised Scotland in the Central Belt? Does the the government believed in devolution to the regions as well?

Absolutely ludicrous that this has even been thought of. Keep it local, local people know their own area and could save a life when an emergency occurs.
