The students, parents and citizens of Gympie East State School are petitioning to retain Mr Scott Thompson as principal of our school. Mr Thompson has been an invaluable asset to the school and his loss would affect us adversely. Also, the school needs consistency. Constantly changing principals in our small community is unfair to the students and to the staff. Mr Thompson has all the qualities that our children need to thrive in their schooling endeavours and we request that he remains in position as principal.
