We the undersigned, respectfully request that the USD232 School Board accept Mr. Mike Stithem’s request to rescind his resignation letter and have him remain as Principal of Clear Creek Elementary
Mr. Stithem made the decision to resign after he was informed that the USD232 School Board was considering re-opening a matter that had been investigated and resolved over 3 years ago. Mr. Stithem was told that the papers pertaining to this matter were not in his personnel files. Not wishing to put his family and the school community through further turmoil and disruption, he made the difficult decision to resign as Principal of Clear Creek Elementary. Several days after tendering his resignation, which was accepted by the USD232 School Board, Mr. Stithem was able to locate a letter, which proved his case had been dealt with and resolved.
At this time, he contacted Dr. Wimmer to request that his resignation be rescinded. Mr. Stithem was contacted a few days later and was told that the USD232 School Board declined to rescind his resignation.
We feel that this constitutes unfair treatment of Mr. Stithem and respectfully request that the USD232 School Board rescind Mr. Stithem’s resignation.
UPDATE:
Unfortunately, our petition was not successful in keeping Mr. Mike Stithem in his position as Principal of Clear Creek Elementary. The USD232 School Board would not accept the request of Mr. Stithem and the Parents of CCE to rescind the resignation.
We wish Mr. Stithem all the best in the future and know that he will be a great Principal at his next school.

I have spent my mornings reading your notes about how much Mr. Stithem means to the students and the staff at Clear Creek. These stories prove that the board needs to reconsider their decision and let him stay.

Seeing this much support for Mr. Stithem proves that our community refuses to let a good man be pushed out by unfair processes. The momentum behind this movement gives me real hope that the board will eventually have to pay attention to our collective demand for transparency.

This whole thing is a joke. Its been 3 years move on already. Let the man keep his job.
My kids love him. Best principal we have had by far. Keep him at clear creek.
Total incompetence by the board. If there is proof it was resolved then let him rescind it immediately.
Mr Stithem is the heart of this school. We need him back!

Ridiculous that they are trying to ruin his career over something resolved years ago. Keep him!
