The residents of Grandview Heights have come to expect certain standards of living. While we do not oppose economic development, we do oppose development that will affect the high quality of life we enjoy here. Current plans to make First Avenue a direct connecting street to the Grandview Yard will have a negative effect on our ability to enjoy our neighborhoods and keep our children safe. The increased traffic, noise and safety concerns that will come with direct access to the Yard from First Avenue are issues that we as residents and taxpayers should not have to worry about. We are demanding that City Council, the Mayor and the Economic Development Director keep the Yard out of our neighborhoods by changing plans to make First Avenue a direct connecting route to the Yard. There are many other solutions that will allow Grandview's commercial and residential neighborhoods to peacefully co-exist.
