SIGN PETITION
Yesterday, November 18th, Governor Andy Beshear announced that all private schools are to cease in-person instructionbeginning November 23. Middle and high schools are to remain in remote instruction until Jan 4th while elementary schools may reopen on Dec 7 if their county is not in the red zone.

We, the following parents, fully support Calvary Christian continuing in person instruction. The school has faithfully followed CDC guidelines, complied with all health department regulations and passed inspections with excellence!

We are confident in the schools ability with all the implemented safety measures to continue providing excellent education.

While we realize the board may have the final vote on this, we earnestly ask that the leadership consider the majority of the parents wishes. Virtual instruction has been offered for any family requiring added safety and should continue to be. However, for families who chose to sign waivers to attend school, we still maintain that our child's/children's education is most successful when in person.

The social, emotional and cognitive impacts of social isolation is (and will continue) to significantly impact the well being of children everywhere. We must take these ramifications just as seriously as we take the virus.

In Christ We Stand.

Updates

November 21, 2020

The emails I receive from parents every day confirm that this isolation is taking a toll on our kids that we cannot ignore. I am still pushing for a meeting with the board despite the exhausting pushback we continue to face.

Seeing the momentum behind this request is heavy but necessary. It is exhausting to fight for what should be obvious yet your support reminds me why we cannot let this go.

People that have no childcare help an have to work need the school open. We don't have any family here to help us an basically have to quit working if the school shuts down again just like we were forced to do the last time it was closed. Thanks

100% in support of keeping our school open! Our kids need this. I feel they are safe and will be no safer at home. And a lot less happy with no social interaction.

Andy needs to remember separation of church and state. This is a Christian Private school

The schools aren’t spreading the disease. Our children’s future is at stake. Continued prayers for Calvary and the children and staff. You are doing the Lord’s work!

Please prayerfully consider keeping our children in school. Mental health should be heavily considered and taken seriously. Movement, social connection and active experience is vital for their well being.
