Other teacher advocacy groups in the district are fighting hard for JCPS to go to remote learning ONLY. ALL of JOCO needs to be heard LOUD AND CLEAR.
Our students, families and community deserve a say.
In 5 years we want to be proud of JCPS for recognizing what was needed for student success.

We are choosing 100% virtual this coming school year, but believe family's should have the choice between face-to-face instruction and 100% virtual. This is why I'm signing this petition. 100% virtual is right for my family, but it's not right for every family.
Education is so much more than what can be learned in books alone. I fear that if the kids do not get back into the classroom with teachers and other students they will not only have educational delays but social and developmental as well.
I have adhd children. Both of which have delays. This social distancing learning will not be if it them. If there are parents that want their children to stay home. So be it. My kids are suffering and ask daily when they’re returning to school.
Please let them go back to school. My son is in the EC program and the remote learning option just does not work for him. Also finding child care during this time is difficult and expensive especially when the parent is working 40 hours a week at their job.
My son already struggles and his level of anxiety when school shut down in March was through the roof! He's an 11th grader and I know he won't graduate on time if school is remote. He MUST have the face to face instruction to succeed.
This virus will disappear on November 5th 2020. Send them to school.

I am a JCPS teacher and parent. Let’s work towards a compromise that’ allows for as much face-to-face instruction as possible, for students whose parents feel it is safe to return, by teachers who feel safe to return. They do exist.
