We pray this message finds you all in great health and staying safe. As a collective, Christ Chapel Academy (CCA) parents have come together to write this letter. Let us begin by saying we are a family. Most of our children have attended CCA for several years, some from pre-school through high school. We have viewed CCA as an integral part of our children’s development into the intelligent, motivated, Christian leaders they are today. We want to say upfront, withdrawing our children from their school home is not a consideration or viable option for any of us.

It is with the prayerful hope that we appeal to the CCA Board and school administration to offer us a virtual/distance learning option in addition to in-person instruction, for at least the first quarter of the 2020-2021 school year. We are asking for a compromise that increases student, teacher, faculty, and parent safety.

As a Christ Chapel Academy parent, if you're concerned and would like to see a virtual option for your child, please unite with us and sign this petition. You can find the full version of a letter we've sent to Christ Christ Academy's Board and School Administration by clicking here.

The school board has received our formal request for a virtual learning option. We are currently coordinating with legal counsel to draft a follow up document that addresses the specific safety protocols we are proposing.

Unfortunately we've already withdrawn our daughter from to begin homeschooling using Abeka for the first semester but would love to bring her back to finish out the year with her CCA family❤

CCA must do better! As a private school the administration should have at minimum polled the parents. The lack of effective and productive two way conversation is lackluster. Please reconsider this decision for 100% in school learning. Follow ALL the data not simply the data that supports reopening.

Student safety should extend to the home and risk of parents, grandparents, and other family members who live in the home with underlying health concerns. Parents should not have to give up/choose a quality education and a stable environment for their children over the safety and well-being of their family.

The lives of my Niece and Nephew should not be jepodized. As a Nurse Anesthetist who have intubated Covid patient s while they are struggling to create this has left me emotionally traumatized. No one's safety should be put in jeopardy if there are viable options available.

I feel that the CCA administration didn’t give parents the platform to voice our concerns. Simply put by Pastor Paul, “If you don’t feel comfortable, withdraw your child(ren).” There was no thought process about kids that may have pre-existing conditions or families that could be compromised by sending their child to the school.

I have sent my children to CCA since pre K 2 and want them to attend but I would feel more comfortable with a virtual option. Especially the little ones that will have I believe a harder time social distancing themselves.

It saddens me that my daughter will not being attending CCA anymore since they’re not offering a virtual/distance learning option. My daughter has been at CCA since Pre-K 2-3 and she loves it but I can’t take the chance to risk her life in attending in person classes. Since schools has reopened there have been 97,000 cases of children with COVID. I can’t understand how CCA can think it’s safe no matter what guidelines they take. Virtual classrooms are a much better safer option and we should be given that option.
