Adults mistakes in the district are directly impacting our youth and are taking resources away from our most underserved communities/families. Fighting to keep our schools open in our community results in potential stability in our youth’s future lives.

Reaching this point has been an exhausting uphill climb but seeing this level of momentum proves we are fighting for something that actually matters. I am tired of the excuses coming from the district and this turnout confirms that our community will not accept these reckless closures quietly.

FIX THE BUDGET AND QUIT PUNISHING THE KIDS. THIS IS THE EAST SIDE NOT A PLAYGROUND FOR YOUR FISCAL MISTAKES
my kids go to school here and we cant afford to drive them across town because of budget mess ups that had nothing to do with us. keep these doors open.
This is extremely disheartening. How does it even make sense to close the schools bc of adults misuse? Especially closing schools that serve working class families. I graduated from Fischer and what they need is better admin and more funding! Not less. Keep them open!
Get these charter schools out of the East Side and manage the districts money better. Doesn’t make sense why it’s always the lowest income neighborhoods being hit the hardest.
look at sjpds budget and then ask yourself how its possible for schools that serve marginalized communities to be shut down
