I have been spending so much time looking at the old brochures from the school office and wondering how they can ignore the legacy here. The district is still not returning my calls but I am planning to show up at the next board meeting with all of your comments printed out so they have to look at them.

I was looking at the screen and just realized how much momentum this has gained lately which is honestly a bit overwhelming but in the best way possible. It really proves that people care about keeping Kaiser open way more than the district probably anticipated when they started talking about closures.

My neighborhood school is the heart of the community. Dont take this away from the kids.
Kaiser is the reason we moved to this part of oakland. Do not close it down.
Ridiculous that they would even consider shutting down a high performing school. Keep it open.
What about the kids who walk to school daily? This is going to mess up so many families lives. Fix the budget somewhere else.
My kids go here and it is a amazing school. They actually care about the students and it shows in the scores. Leave it alone!!!!

So many memories at this place. Hands off our school.
