First in Huddersfield are planning to remove the extension of the 371 bus service to Kirkheaton as part of the May Service Changes.
We, the residents of Kirkheaton ask that they cancel the proposed change and keep the service extending to Kirkheaton.

This link to HRI is vital for the elderly and infirm with no car or nearby family to help...last time it was withdrawn it took two buses and an earlier start but I was still late for appointments ...
I live in Kirkheaton and use the service to HRI for my many hospital appointments. My son also uses the service to get to New College, he has additional needs, so not having to change buses in town is a big bonus
My daughter needs this bus to get to school! I do not want her walking alone and this is safer for her. She goes to school in her catchment and there are no school buses. She needs this bus, likewise my youngest will needs this when she moves to high school
My daughter uses this service to get from college at Netherhall to Kirkheaton. This saves her having to go into Huddersfield and then back to Kirkheaton and will be a real inconvenience if it’s removed.
The 371 is run to back up the very unreliable 262 service just ask Denby Dale residents for their views on the reliability of the tiger bus service! The 371 gives Kirkheaton residents a route to the HRI which is a necessity for the elderly.
Absolutely must have this service,from kirkheaton to the hospital is just a must for those who don’t drive .

My son catches the 8am bus every morning and goes on to catch a further first bus to work. Remove this service and this would cost my son £30+ a week compared to £15 a week. So in result he would be calling me to collect him from Dalton and who’s paying my petrol money!!! But then again he would be 100% guaranteed a seat!!
