this is a petition to show the support from the local community to keep the scheduled bus service and for the local authority to scrap the idea of reducing the weekend bus service to middleton and overton. This is a vital service that people of all ages rely on over the weekend and it would be a big loss to have it reduced or taken away.

Seeing this level of support reminds me why I started this fight even when the exhaustion sets in. People are finally looking our way and we cannot afford to let this momentum slip now.

This service is vital to the existence of our village. We lost village shop, village post office, and pub (we now have a limited use of shop and PO in the village hall) Now some of the services are going. Perhaps you could look at limiting the week end and evening or using a smaller bus! Economy cut then!
I'm signing this petition for my grandma Eileen Holgate who lives in the village and uses the bus if she needs to leave the village for anything. There are no shops and she doesn't drive. What are the elderly meant to do.
Overton is a remote village with a number of people who rely solely on bus transportation to get to and from the surrounding towns. There are no shops in Overton, or even a post office any more. Don't make people more isolated than they already are.
losing this service means people cant get to work or collage..on sundays means families that dont drive cant get to local events with their children and again people to get to work..
My in laws live in o seton and if they don't have the bus service they won't be getting out as neither drive and she has rheumatoid arthritis and early dementia so the bus service is her only way of keeping to a routine she has been used to for the last 30-40 years
The bus service is invaluable to the village, for non drivers , our Young people and the elderly, please please don't take it away.

I use the number 5 bus service from Overton to carnforth to get to work next to morrisons in morecambe. Please don't take it away, I need it as do many others that use the same bus at the same time as me and at other times throughout the day and evening
