Every animal lover should campaign to get the "Kalen law" introduced. This law would prosecute and incarcerate those abusing animals in their care and give more back up to animal shelters, getting perpetrators to fund for the proper care of their animal.

I really never thought this would reach so many people when I first started. Seeing this kind of momentum is entirely due to the kindness of those who decided to get involved. I am just humbled that you all believe in this goal as much as I do.

After seeing what wee Kalen went through...and to protect all the other wee Kalens out there this country needs to bring in a law to stop the scum who do this to these beautiful animals.

Animals need better protection against animal cruelty. They need more help. Abusers should be jailed not fined or a slap on the wrist but jail for years not weeks. It can be done so do it.

Animals are vulnerable sentient beings and need the protection of the law at these 'fairs' and elsewhere - animal neglect is cruelty and appears to be endemic particularly where money is involved - there must be ENFORCED legislation to stop it and support for the animal rescues who pick up the pieces.

There just seems to be no laws on animal welfare in Ireland, it's crazy. Animal abusers should not be able to get away with it anymore, it's disgusting

No animal should be abused by their owner. If they do they deserve to be punished severely.

Only too pleased to try to help animals from any kind of cruelty they deserve our love and respect.
