You all must be aware by now that after painstaking efforts, the Women’s group of Uptown has come up with a rate list for the remuneration for household chores. The list has been shared with the employers of house-helps in Uptown. We hope that adherence to this rate list will help resolve the current situation wherein the residents are facing unreasonable demands of remuneration from the house-helps. For this, we need unflinching support and cooperation from the RWA and the Estate office. This petition is to request a robust roll out of the rate list across Uptown at the earliest. THIS MOMENTUM IS ABSOLUTELY INCREDIBLE!! PEOPLE ARE FINALLY LISTENING AND THE ENERGY FOR THIS NEW RATE LIST IS EXPLODING ACROSS UPTOWN!! WE ARE BUILDING SOMETHING MASSIVE TOGETHER AND I CANNOT WAIT TO SEE THE RWA TAKE ACTION!!

It was much needed to have some discipline amongst society maids. One should not agree or offer higher rates other than these standardised rate’s unless and until the house cores are additional. One question: how one can keep a tap if anyone is paying more than the rates card ?
Thanks for taking initiative, it was very much needed. Implementation of the rates is another big task.
It’s the need of the hour as maids are making unreasonable demands and switching jobs without even the basic understanding of the work required! They just come ask some random rate and come for a day and scoot! Rates need to have some baseline and this really helps, otherwise it’s almost like a daily wages thing now.
B-1904 I fully support standardisation of rates in the society which lead to not just an upper band but a lower band to wages as well. Thanks!
A very genuine effort by the team as the maids had become quite opportunistic and demanding…with only focus on getting maximum pay with least effort and virtually zero quality of work. Just wanted to understand, that any future instances of non compliance should be intimated/communicated to whom for appropriate action against defaulter maids… it is important that they get the message that the condominium community means business
