We are a group of JC1 students from National Junior College(NJC) and we are doing this petition for domestic helpers to lead a better life as part of our Project Work (PW). Our cause is to further improve the welfare of the domestic helpers and encourage employers to allow more flexibility in their worklife, such as allowing them a few days of leave fornightly. We would be glad if you could spend a few minutes to write a short pledge to promise a rest day fortnightly for your domestic helpers. We thank you on behalf of those domestic helpers as this one pledge of yours would definitely make a difference.

The response to this initiative has surpassed our initial expectations. It is encouraging to see such widespread commitment toward improving the welfare of domestic helpers.

They work so hard for us everyday. It is only fair to give them a break once in a while. My helper is basically family and deserves her rest too.
its about time this happens. really appreciative of the hard work they put in for our homes so having a day off is the bare minimum.

Everyone needs a day off. stop treating them like machines.
They work so hard for us everyday. It is only fair to give them a break once in a while. My helper is basically family and deserves her rest too.
