Show this man what he deserves! The Media call him a gunman we call him a hero! Please show your support for Nicholas an Australian soldier who faces court again on the 9th of February on charges of Public Nuisance for running in Uniform with a Training Weapon that looks nothing like a real rifle. Its sad when the public doesn't recognize a soldier in the uniform of his country. Everyone please share this!

Perhaps he could have given more thought to where he trained, having said this I have to wonder who reported this? We have to be observant given the terrorist situation worldwide, but getting the facts straight before calling authorities would be wise.
He was training for our Defence Forces, which requires a great deal of lead up training... If a member of the ADF does not have the right to carry a *Fake* rifle as it may scare or offend people, why should Police and Armour Guard ect be allowed to carry.
Would love to see more soldiers doing what this soldier did! I find it reassuring to see soldiers training in their own time on suburban streets. Committed to their work, committed to their community and most importantly committed to their country.
Here's hoping a united community voice can see commonsense prevail and this Australian soldier have all charges against him dropped. He posed no danger to the public and any perceived threat was clearly poor judgement on behalf of a mere few individuals.
Training for special forces selection will now probably end in a criminal record all because of hyper vigilant misinformed mindless people. They should have been rushing up to him to shake his hand instead of remushing to the phone to dial 000.
Great to see ADF personnel in uniform out & about. I support you training the way you chose.

From somebody who trained in uniform outside of hours with a replica weapon for weight and size reality for the same reasons as this dedicated soldier, I find the actions of not only our fine police force but the stupidity of our courts appalling..
