He is an amazing, honorable Marine that our children need in their lives. We believe he was unjustifiably fired and are going to fight for his return. Please fight with us! I developed a friendship with Lt Col Hunter while serving at Ft Bliss, TX. He is an excellent leader, mentor and human being. I was always proud to serve alongside him and other officers of his caliber. He deserves reinstatement. Maj Donald Michael, USAR - Retired
I have personally observed LTC Hunter with his JROTC class. He is an outstanding leader and roll model. His JROTC class is the sharpest I"ve seen and better than many college ROTC's. If I can be of any more help to him please let me know. Brig Gen Edward S. Mansfield, USAFR (Ret.)
It is time to reinstate Lt Col Hunter to his position at SHS. His accomplishments with the kids are many. In addition, he took an underperforming ROTC program to a Navy award winning program in three years!
I am a cadet in Enloe Army JROTC battalion at Enloe HS in Raleigh. If I lost my instructor then i don’t know what I would do, he is like a father figure and if he were to be fired it would be akin to losing your father.
It sounds as though Col. Hunter was applying discipline governed by common sense, something that most education administrators are unable to comprehend . Hopefully enough levelheaded people will rally behind Col. Hunter and right this wrong .
Bring him back we need him
This man is what our children need in a mentor. He continues to serve our country with honor.

When I heard that he was fired, I was super confused and mad because I never ever imagine him being fired because he’s such a nice person and a great teacher. He taught me a lot of stuffs I’ll never forget and I’ll always be thankful to him. #hopeucomebacksoonLT.COL
