SFC Charles Martland will be discharged on 1 November for assaulting an Afghan Police Officer after discovering the officer had raped a young boy and beaten his mother. The Army has already rejected his repeal and his discharge is imminent. Martland is a decorated Green Beret that embodies what it is to be a Soldier and his actions against an officer for such vulgar actions should not be punished. Please let this get out to everyone

Every soldier takes an oath to defend and protect the Constitution. It appears that senior leadership has decided that part of that defense is accepting powerful Afghan men to rape children and allow honor killings of young girls. Martland shouldn't be kicked out...the authors of this policy should.
Sex slavery is OK on military bases of the United States of America!!! You get fired for stopping it. Human trafficking/slavery is tolerated . Wake up and VOTE!!!!!!!!!
What else can we do?
Maryland should be decorated and promoted. What is the army thinking to tell our brave honorable men to stand by and do nothing.
The Police Commander confessed, laughed and said it was "no big deal". He should be punished for his actions. SFC Martland should NOT be discharged, he should be commended.

LtCol, USAF (Ret) The military hierarchy is about as wrong as it can be on this issue. The actions of SFC Charles Martland saved this boy's life. One thing we see ofter is these boytoys are killed after they lose their desireability in the eyes of their captors. Further, I'd expect any real man to do the same as SFC Martland. I'd expect cowards and politicians do otherwise as our brass expected this hero to do.
