People can sucker punch good samaritans and get away with it. But our Soldiers can't train in their own neighbourhoods?

What a pathetic media beat up - I am shocked the police charged this young man for doing what is his duty - someone in the Judiciary has to have the common sense to let this kid go without conviction. Shame on you media and shame on you police prosecuter for compounding this soldier's predicament.

Please stop allowing our soliders to be made victims. Please stop allowing people to have such an unreasonable fear regarding firearms. Sure... Check him out because of the public report, but then you should have had a laugh, and both gone on your merry ways. A solider writes a cheque, up to and including his life to protect the citizens of this great country.

You must be joking. As a regular soldier I was required to maintain a level of fitness by training in a similar manner. Australia needs to get over its paranoia and support our troops
