This is a petition for Home Park residents to have the City of Atlanta update the Residential Parking restrictions to include the streets listed below. The goal of this permit will be to reduce the number of Georgia Tech commuters, construction and service vehicle, and other transient parking that are eating up the drivable and parking space in the Home Park area.
- Center Street
- Ethel Street
- Francis
- State Street
The Residential Parking Restriction limits parking street side only to residents of Home Park (owners, renters) and two guests permits per resident. If the changes are enacted, you will need to register to get a parking permit of your own. The permit process involves:
- An application that can be found here: http://www.atlantaga.gov/index.aspx?page=591.
- A $20 fee.
- You are permitted up to two permits per single family home and 1 per unit in multi-tenant homes.
- Each permit is also entitled to two guest passes.

Definitely. I already pay for an on-street permit. It would be great, however, to reduce the amount of excess vehicles, because when I drive on any of the mentioned streets, there is never any parking anyway. And it would help reduce situations where people have to back up because the double-side parking makes the street effectively one way.
We'd gladly pay the $20 to ensure parking on our own street by our house!

Living on State Street is a nightmare lately. Tired of tech kids leaving their cars all day blocking my driveway. This needs to happen ASAP.
Definitely. I already pay for an on-street permit.
