I, the undersigned, wish it to be known that I fully support the proposed Historic Core Zone (HCZ) in Bradford on Avon.

Furthermore I want it to be implemented at the earliest opportunity.

I am honestly a bit overwhelmed by the way this has taken off. I never truly expected so many people to care this much about our town. This momentum belongs entirely to you.

On Saturday morning I even frightened my self! Between 12:10 and 12:39. Half a hour exactly I counted 17 vehicles stopped, blocking the crossing. A further 22 vehicles drove over the zebra whilst pedestrians were also on the crossing. There was also one very near miss. This situation cannot be tolerated. The HCZ promised a much brighter (and safer) future for the town.

We are fortunate to have a business in an ancient lovely town, which was built for horses and carts. We have to accept the present day traffic problem and bring the town into the 21st century, therefore an initiative such as proposed HRC is a most welcome step in the right direction in order to make the town more pedestrian friendly in order to support the businesses and to preserve our town.

We need to move away from the mentality that BOA must be preserved as a museum and any change is to be feared. The regeneration of the area and improved accessibility for pedestrians can only benefit BOA if it is to remain the vibrant working town we all love. I fully support the HCZ plans.

Alternatives have been comprehensively explored via a town wide consultation and extensive public and stake holder workshops and meetings. This scheme was the outcome. We must get behind the scheme or risk being left again in traffic chaos purgatory.

I know many people find change worrying and of course public safety is a major concern, but having seen video footage of a similar scheme elsewhere and having looked atthe plans in detail, I am convinced we should support this.

We need to implement this scheme not only for pedestrians but to support our shops in the town. We have no heart if our shops can't thrive. After all it worked well in Poynton so why not here

This is a chance to do something about BOA.s traffic problems which will be of great benefit ot residents of the town.

I fully support the Historic Core Zone. Current crossings are dangerous, and anything to reduce the domination of the traffic.
