Please support the funding of flood mitigation for the City of Henderson as contained in the final 2020 bonding bill. The repeated flooding of Hwy. 19, Hwy. 93, and CR 6 has taken an economic and emotional toll on the community of Henderson, which warrants the action of the governor.

Updates

Reaching this level of visibility feels like a small win in a very long fight. I am exhausted by the constant cycle of flood damage but seeing this momentum reminds me why we cannot stop now.

I live in town and work in Chanhassen. Sometimes when 3 out of the four ways in HENDERSON our closed it can add an extra hour to my communt per in and out. Not cool.

This poor town suffers from road closures due to flooding every years. Hwy 93 closed 5 times last year. Something needs to be done because it is really impacting people, businesses and schools.

My son attends MNCS in Henderson, an unique charter school that meets his special educational needs. The extra transit time in the spring and fall due to flooding negatively impacts his education.

Henderson is a thriving community until the roads close. The economic slam experienced during flood season could be mitigated by raising 93 above flood stage. It’s a good investment for tax dollars

I moved to Henderson in 2006 and love the small town community. Everyone is friendly and welcoming. Our community is strong and resilient but the flooding takes a toll on our business owners and schools suffer with every road closure. Help us get a road raised to ensure a way in and out of town without adding additional time and delays.

As the parent of Minnesota New Country School students, our family is greatly affected every time roads are closed due to flooding in Henderson. Our quality of life is impacted. The quality of life for the entire area is reduced due to very restricted travel. Raising a road would be a very simple way to improve the quality of life for many people!

Funds are there, please use it to help us with our roads. Divert any road expansion until this is taken care of.
