Tired of the many places all around named to honor those who stole this land in the name of greed and genocide. Let us as a community rise up and change our perceptions to honor the ancestors of this land and their descendants.
We feel it is time to make it right. Let's rename "Steven's Field"! Let's name it in the memory of the leaders who protected their people.... Quiemuth Field.

The reach of this petition has captured the attention of local council members. I have requested a formal meeting to present the renaming proposal for Quiemuth Field. Further updates will follow once the office confirms a time for this discussion.

Time to re-name everything with it's original names, go back to the beginning, and try to do this right this time.
its long past time we stop honoring people who caused so much pain. Quiemuth Field is a start
SERIOUSLY. why are we still glorifying the people who stole this land?? change it already.
We need to show some respect to the people who were here first instead of just erasing them. finally someone is doing something about the names around here
history needs to be honest. keep the old names and we just keep lying to ourselves about what happened here

Why is it ok for Ancestral lands and Sacred sites that are thousands of years old to be named after Colonists names, and when Indigenous people want to return the original names back it causes violence, and death threats?? They faced no opposition to changing the original names because at the time, the surviving Native people in the lands were recovering from the Violent Genocide, and mass murdering. It is time to re-name all the Sacred Sites.
