Chico State continues to sit on the stolen land of the Mechoopda while ignoring the hundreds of thousands of artifacts they unearthed during construction. It is infuriating that they treat these ancestral remains and destroyed history as nothing more than a footnote in their campus expansion. We are pushing for this memorial because the institution needs to stop burying the truth of what they did to this land.

this is so sad i had no idea about the bones under the campus. we definitely need to honor the people who were here first.
