The 2019 Harley-Davidson lineup includes a new Infotainment System. It is an upgrade over the horribly subpar Infotainment System in previous model years. However, Harley-Davidson has chosen to make the new system incompatible with the older model motorcycle line-up. What the motive is for this is anyone's guess, however, this petition is to hopefully give a voice to the Harley-Davidson loyalists that might get the ear of the decision makers at the Motor Company.

There is nothing that should make this radio not fit the old 14-18 bikes other than lock out. I bought an 18 after waiting and hoping for a new radio, finally gave up only to have it released 4 months later. Happy to pay the $2k for the upgrade, but not the $10k loss from trading.
I purchased a 2018 CVO Road Glide in April. I can honestly say the Infotainment System has been a huge disappointment. Please give us the opportunity to to retrofit prior year CVO’s with the new system that appears to be a great improvement over what we currently have.
Purchased a $42,000 2018 CVO Street Glide and now, just a few months later and in the model year, a major feature of the bike, one that hugely negatively affects the resale value become obsolete.
Why wouldn't they allow a retro fit? In my opinion, we’re the ones who gave them the feedback on how horrible the previous system was. Give us the option to retro fit the GTS in the previous year bikes and stop screwing us!!!
I would never trade my 18 ultra to get the new GPS, However, if priced accordingly and was a retro fit option, I would consider a newer style gps. Especially since the 17 and 18 gps system is based off of a 2003 Garmin nuvi 250..... In other words, it sucks!!!!!
It is more than necessary to make the GTS compatible. Others are already making money with a GTS interface.

GPS is horrible and the new unit is easy. Less action to do what we need and that makes it safer to use. Old unit you could look at for 3 seconds to change function. New unit 1 second and that’s safe.
