It is more than necessary to make the GTS compatible.
Others are already making money with a GTS interface.

I’d gladly spend the money for this upgrade, but I’m not willing to trade in my 2018 FLHTK for it. There’s lost revenue here that the MoCo is ignoring!

We all know why harley is doing this. Make it retrofit compatible or lose loyal customers. The majority of people will opt to NOT buy the 2019 or newer bikes simply due to a MATTER OF PRINCIPLE. There is already an aftermarket company that has a lot that makes it work. DO IT NOW HARLEY BEFORE YOU LOSE CUSTOMERS TO INDIAN, AND TO THE NEW AFTERMARKET RETROKIT FROM SOUNDZ....

Considering buying an Ultra Limited but don’t have the cash for a new 19. I won’t buy unless a retrofit option for the GTS is available.

Not being able to retrofit the new head unit is just another cash grab by harley to get you to buy a new bike just for a stereo. The GT Boom Box! is just garbage. Harmon Kardon must have seen Harley coming a mile away to develop this crap. I know older cars (than 2014) that had Apple CarPlay. And to charge $2000 for the new HU is a crime.

I own a 2018 street glide CVO gunship grey and love it. I have had many new Harley-Davidsons in the past and will continue to be brand loyal but please HD reward us with this this upgrade.

Harley, you are on the clock with me. I'm so fed up with being taxed to play your game. If there isn't a retrofit for the new Boom Box infotainment system by the end of this calendar year, I'm selling my 2018 Ultra Classic and going to Indian (which I should've already done). Fix it...or lose a diehard customer forever.
