Decision Makers: GL Bajaj Institute of Management and Research

We, the undersigned students of GL Bajaj, respectfully request that the college administration reschedule the practical examinations currently set for November 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 12th, and 13th.

These dates fall during Diwali vacation, a time when many of us have already committed to travel plans to return home and celebrate with our families. We have purchased tickets, made arrangements, and informed our families of our arrival dates. To sit for exams during this period would force us to cancel these plans on short notice.

Cancellation of travel bookings incurs substantial financial penalties — costs that many of us cannot absorb. Beyond the direct expense, rescheduling our returns would disrupt family gatherings and obligations that cannot be postponed. The timing creates an impossible choice: either forfeit our exam fees and travel costs, or abandon commitments to our families during one of the year's most important celebrations.

We understand the college's need to maintain an examination schedule. We also recognize that students deserve the opportunity to participate fully in their exams without the added stress and financial hardship of last-minute cancellations.

We therefore urge the administration to review the practical exam dates and adjust them to fall outside the Diwali vacation period. This would allow students to complete their examinations without sacrificing family time or absorbing unnecessary financial loss.

We are confident that a solution exists that serves both the college's academic calendar and the legitimate needs of its students. We respectfully request that the concerned authorities give this matter urgent consideration and communicate any schedule adjustments as soon as possible.

Thank you for your attention to this request.

I have already booked my train tickets and it is difficult to get tickets between 10 to 16 because of chhatt puja.

The dates of our train and flight bookings are already confirmed and even if we cancel them we won't get any on an early date

I request the college administration to reschedule the practical exams after Diwali, as heavy festive rush makes train tickets difficult to get. My return ticket is after the practical dates, making it difficult to attend on 12th and 13th November.

This is very important for me because cancelling tickets and re-purchasing it would be really costly, and management of our college is also poor, we had our diwali tickets bought before 1 month of diwali, and now tickets are also full, we cannot come although if we want to
