Calling on all Bancroft Village homeowners/residents to please sign our petition to the HOA to reopen our pools on May 1st. There is absolutely no reason for them to refuse to open them. Several options were recommended at last night's board meeting including waivers and reservations. Also, there is no reason for the pool furniture to not be made available for us. Please help us tell the HOA loud and clear, we want our pools reopened May 1st, no matter what tier the county is in. We were one of the only community pools to not reopen last summer, due to the admittedly "conservative" approach of the HOA. We pay a small fortune to live here and are entitled to use and enjoy our pools at our own risk. Please sign our petition! Thank you
The board has received notice of this effort and acknowledged the volume of resident feedback collected thus far. I am currently preparing a formal presentation to address the safety protocols and liability waivers discussed at the most recent meeting.
March 26, 2021
The momentum behind this petition highlights how many of us desire access to our community facilities. This level of participation sends a clear message to the board regarding our expectations for the upcoming season.

Agreed. Open BV pools by May 1 - Easter would be even better! Limit to BV residents only. No visitors.

When we moved to Bancroft village, we looked forward to spending the summer in sparkling clean water, and left our prior location that had an (open) pool. We contribute HOA fees, that support the operation of the pools in this neighborhood. We have a right to demand that this pool open for the benefit of health, happiness and quality of life living in this place. Please don't put yourselves in higher priority that the residents needs.

I am an avid lap swimmer and I love this pool and we need it opened ASAP. It is about time it reopens.

The Board is really dragging its feet. Start working for and representing the residents! Why are you letting non-residents play on our tennis courts, but not letting paying residents swim in our pool?

We demand that the pool be reopened for residents. We will be fully vaccinated by Easter and many other residents are vaccinated as well. It was neglectful to keep the pool closed through 2020 when it was possible to open it safely and at low capacity as residents offered to manage sign-ups and use.

Please reopen the pools May 1 or earlier if weather permits. In pre-pandemic times, we use the pool at our own risk; this should be no different now. I'd happily sign a waiver if that helps with the insurance.

There are plenty of ways to open the pool safely. Especially with vaccinations available to everyone in the county, it's definitely time to reopen the pool.
