This semester I have had the opportunity to take Influencer Marketing with Amanda Russell.
Although I have taken fascinating classes while here at UT, this one has changed the way I think and given me a deeper understanding of why and how some brands succeed while others fail.
It is a class I will remember always due to the drive and knowledge of Professor Russell.

I have recently learned that Professor Russell has created another, more personal course, about building one's own influence to create success in your own career and I know so many of us NEED this!
UT offers an extensive amount of courses, however the world is moving fast, this one course is missing and it's a course that will dramatically influence your career upon graduation as well as 20 years from now as your personal brand follows you everywhere and has a direct impact on your career and success.

The administration continues to ignore the fact that our curriculum is stuck in the past while we are forced to navigate a changing professional landscape without real guidance. I am tired of seeing the university prioritize outdated electives over the practical skills we actually need for our careers. They clearly hope we will just stop asking but I am not going anywhere.

The administration can no longer pretend this demand does not exist. We have built enough momentum to force the university to stop ignoring what students actually need for their careers.

i really hope they add this soon, social media is literally how every job works now.
As a PR Major, I would benefit greatly from a course like this at UT. This course is needed and would be a great addition to the curriculum.
