It is not only the loss of the AONB that concerns me but the lack of amenities in the area e.g doctor's surgeries and schools. Also I do not feel the roads in this area can cope with the aditional traffic
As a newer resident of Crowborough, it's clear that developers have their eye on greenfield sites around the town - line in the sand needs to be drawn now.
As a resident of Steel Cross Crowborough next to the AONB we fell that this must be protected, it is a beautiful area enjoyed by many throughout the year,

The greenfields and areas of natural beauty around Crowborough and the Ashdown Forest are under threat from developers who have no interest in the people who live here or those who wish to enjoy these historic amenities. Their only concern is for the gross profit that they can make by destroying these areas which, once lost, are gone forever These developers will then demand that they can destroy the next area until it is all gone. They will then move on to repeat this in another part of the county. The Council carefully set the Local Plan to protect the countryside and preserve the AONB. It is only by saying NO that this destruction can be stopped.
