The proposed housing development at Bird-in-eye North and Bird-in-eye South near Framfield road in Uckfield, East Sussex should NOT go ahead.
Too much of our open land is being sold on for housing at the expense of our wildlife, health and landscape.
Such a development will create traffic congestion with restricted parking for existing residents and generally more vehicles in the area.
It will also destroy yet more of the beautiful open land that makes Uckfield such a pleasurable place to live in.
Wealden council should be more concerned with the environment than filling their pockets.
Action must be taken to ensure that this development doesn\'t happen.
Two hundred fifty signatures against this development. The council cannot ignore us anymore.

The local council is still ignoring our concerns about the Bird-in-eye development. I am meeting with land planning experts to build a stronger case against this project.

Framfield Road is far too small to cope with the amount of traffic that this development will incur. On street parking in the area is already at a premium and cannot be relocated elsewhere. Local infrastructure already at overload. This development will only benefit the developer and landowner.

Over development in an already congested area. The development would lead to increased pollution on an already busy road. Have Wealden not heard of climate change? Lack of infrastucture e.g surgeries, school to support it. Further loss of wildlife habitat.

The road is not suitable to allow access to a large housing development. It will cause chaos along Framfield road for existing residents who are forced to park on the road. if the houses at the development at Ridgewood are not selling why do they think these will?

Uckfield's infrastructure cannot support yet another development on its outskirts. The new houses on the Lewes Road have caused turmoil this year on the roads and are still ongoing. Further development at Bird-in-Eye is untenable. No more, enough is enough.

Uckfield is already a flood zone, please don’t believe that further risk of flooding can be averted by building more property on higher ground!
If you want to do something positive in pursuit of alleviating flood risk, then grow more trees & stop building houses.
Simple……nuff said!!!!

We need to stop this! I live in Framfield Rd, this will cause too many problems, traffic parking, already really busy. Massive impact on medical and dental appointments, schools, nature and our environment. I never ever received a letter advising residents of this plan, all gone secretly.

Nature is important for humans overall health. Yes there's an issue with housing but thats created by governments open borders. Our farms and lands shouldn't be compromised for the governments incompetence.

Far too man homes are planned, road access is extremely restricted and cannot cope with the volume traffic that there would be. Uckfield is already growing at an alarming and rate, and has nowhere sufficient facilities and infrastructure.
