We are asking RTA and Emaar to allow free street parking in the Greens for its residents. Most of families have two cars and only 3 bedroom apartments have two basement parking spaces which means a lot of people are parking on the street. As a reminder, there are NO free public parkings anywhere close to the Greens.

The petition reached 250 signatures today. I am now compiling these numbers into a formal request to be delivered to RTA and Emaar management by the end of the week.

We are approaching the two hundred fifty signature threshold which is the benchmark required to secure a formal meeting with RTA representatives. Please ensure your neighbors have added their names so we can present a unified list of affected households by the time we request that sit-down.

We are approaching the one hundred signature mark to present to the RTA board. Pushing past this threshold today provides the necessary documentation to request a formal meeting with their planning department.

All residential developments like lakes, springs, meadows etc have free street parking. Think Emaar should close of the area just like the other developments with a boom and only allow residents and signed in visitors in. Secondly they need to sort out a special arrangements for Regent international school, as they also have a huge parking problem at pick up and drop off times.

Don't understand why residents have to pay to park outside their house Most residents with 2-3 bed room have only one parking in the basement but have two cars. There is no other ares for free parking in this area.

It is outrageous that you have to pay so much to park outside your home. With even more buildings and cars coming into the Greens , it will only get worse. We have 3 bed appt but only 1 space .

It is extremely unfair for residents of The Greens to be facing such parking issues. In Al-Sidir, we have only been given 1 parking space for a 3 bedroom apartment. Owning 4 cars, we have to park the other 3 outside, which is a hassle, and costly. Emaar should issue parking permits to residents, to relieve them off of this unnecessary burden. Why does one have to pay to park in their own house?

It's totally unfair to residents to pay for parking outsides their home after paying such high rental for a community house expecting good facilities

It seems paid parking has been started without any prior information or heads up. Today I see that the covers are removed from the paid parking signs. I sincerely hope emaar considers our request to allot resident permits.

My tenancy contract will expire in April, and I dont plan to stay in the Greens if i have to pay for parking my second car. There are 2 vehicles in the family and the Fairways only has space for 1. It is ridiculous to see the extend that governmental entities go to take money from us. They know that The Greens is an expat area and that our resistance will not cause them a scratch. Only a second recession will shake things up again..
