Issue: The Cherry Creek Mall is going to commence paid parking up to $16 per day starting January 15, 2017. This action will drive employees of stores and restaurants on 2nd and 3rd Avenues from University Blvd. to Steele Street to seek free parking on E. Cherry Creek South Dr. where there are currently no limitations. As many residents live in the condominiums adjacent to E. Cherry Creek South Dr., the available parking is a necessity for the vendors servicing those buildings who drive larger vans and trucks, as well as visitors. During the holidays, employees from the shopping district already severely inconvenience the homeowners on this street as they are encouraged by their employers to park free all day thus preventing vendors, service trucks and visitors from getting close to the buildings.

Proposed Solution: Using posted signage, 3 or 4 hours of free parking would be permitted from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. all along the North side of E. Cherry Creek South Dr. Unlimited free parking would be allowed between 7 p.m. and 7 a.m. Parking operations of the City of Denver would be required to monitor the hours as their vehicles record the license plate, date and time when their monitoring vehicles pass by. This would make it unlikely that Cherry Creek North employees would park for the day. This solution also would not limit the size of the space thus allowing vendor or service trucks to park nearby.

I agree with 3 hours maximum of free parking; though my preference would be 2 hours....which would be in line with other areas (Gaylord for ex. ). There are far too many renters, condo owners with limited visitor parking as it is associated with their buildings. I notice employees parking as early as 6:30 a.m. on E. Cherry Creek S. Dr. Limiting parking time would be a good partial solution. Even better would the City taking responsibility for ensuring builders are providing adequate parking for their commercial buildings.

To maintain normal access to and the value of our building, adequate parking for vendors (plumbers, electricians, etc) visitors and emergency vehicles is absolutely essential. Please sign this petition. Thank you

This is a huge issue for us; we don't want our neighborhood to become a parking lot for employees and shoppers who do not live here. We residents and our visitors and vendors should not have to subsidize Cherry Creek North and the Mall.

the commencement of paid parking at the Chery Creek Mall will have a substantial impact on the availabilit of parking for residents of the adjoining areas as workers at the mall will choose to avoid a reduction in net compensation by parking in the resident's areas.. This is not fair.

Parking restrictions are a necessity on this street for vendors and guests only of residents on the street..

This is essential for the homeowners on CC DR South. We need this parking for people visiting the residents. I feel that under the present situation, the mall is monopolizing the parking and this devalues our properties.

As a resident I am highly in favor of the City instituting timed parking restrictions along E. Cherry Creek S. Dr.
