Towns County officials are still ignoring our calls and pretending that blocking access to Bell Mountain is a reasonable decision. I am tired of their silence and I am currently working to force a public meeting where they have to look us in the eye. Do not let them think we are going to quietly walk away.

My family and I have travelled from Western US several times to SE USA and always try to visit Bell to enjoy some paragliding when we are visiting. Compared to many sites out West it is very safe and friendly site with easy access. It would be a real shame to see it go.
The paragliding community absolutely brings commerce and attractions to the area. So many tourists love the paragliding activity and I'm sure tell others how much fun the visit was. Why would the local community not care to have the attraction which brings in tourism and good monies to the tax base?
Paragliding is something my husband and I enjoy doing together. We live in Hiawassee and don’t understand why the Bell Mtn site would be taken away. We’ve made many flights and the people visiting the mountain when we take off are always so glad they got to see us fly. It is a great community of people and all the locals we know love the paragliders.
I drive from 3+ hours away to fly bell and have spent money at local businesses while visiting. It is one of the few established sites in the southeast and should be preserved.
I remember when Mr. Herron would to come up and watch us all paraglide at his site. He really loved us as a group supported and the sport of paragliding. I hope we can continue to support his and his families wishes.
this is the premier tourist flying location on the east coast

Currently considering relocation to GA. Sizable tax implications. One of the main reasons was Bell Mountain paragliding... May put this decision on hold.
