The department finally buckled and agreed to honor our proper pay scale. This win belongs to every one of the 636 people who refused to accept their pathetic excuses. We forced them to pay what is owed but we are staying sharp to make sure they actually follow through.

This a petition to highlight the unfair treatment of social care workers in relation to pay. We demand fair pair as outlined on the pay scale in all areas of social care.

The corporate bosses at these care agencies are betting that we will get tired and quit. We are nearly at one hundred signatures so push this out everywhere right now to prove them wrong.

Across all sectors not just statutory - the work NGO's are doing is exemplary and necessary but their pay is abysmal. They are not aligned to any scale and do not receive any incremental pay rise.

Social care workers are so underpaid it's appalling to say the least! ! We work unsociable hours, and put ourselves in danger of be hit, bit, punched etc etc we are dedicated to helping people who have been institutionalised, sexual abused the list is endless...... we deserve to be recognised for the hard dedicated work we do !!!!

I.M.O. Pay discrepancies, lack of transparency for salary scales across the whole sector can destroy morale in the workplace. This anger at injustice is contagious and service users suffer. It needs to be clear and conscise to be fair.

Social Care Workers have spent 4 years training and are continually developing their skills. The rate of pay should take their knowledge gained into consideration. As there are Social care jobs that pay the same as jobs where no qualification is needed.

All social care workers should be paid on the HSE payscale.. it should become compulsory for all organisations catering for service users in this area .. you get what you pay for

Dealing with high support needs and challenging behaviours is hard and should be paid accordingly. We are at risk on a daily basis.
