I would like to see fair treatment to all health and social care professionals, we are living in a society now were social care practitioners are needed more and more therefore our profession needs to be taken seriously.

Social care workers need to come together. The irish association of social care workers do not represent workers they represent themselves and an ideology. Forgetting what workers have to do daily. We need a representative association which represent us workers.

Social care is a qualified professional practice we go to college for 3 years and in my case 4 years and currently couldn't even get work in my area and employed as HCA pay scale needs to be changed and rewarding to our qualification in area which can be very challenging.

All social care workers I personally worked with in the past 8 years presented a high quality of professional care.
It is a very hard demanding role. Professionals fees in collage are very high and 4 long hard years. Collage dose not prepare you for the challenge you are faced with .I think it is time for S C W to be recognised for the quality of care they deliver .

It's ridiculous spent 4 hard years studying in college. Working with very challenging behaviours where staff are bit,kicked,scratched,slapped and spat at on a daily basis. Still love my job and enjoy and learn from the service users i am blessed to work with. All i ask is to be paid properly for a very difficult job that isn't recognised as much as it should be.

Pay in the private sector does not reflect what colleges are telling us about a professional career. The pay is disgraceful.
We are professionals when it suits others with vested interests.
What about social care workers interests.
This petition is great. No other organisation lobbies for us.
