We the Muslims of America are joining to protest this continued confusion that takes place on every Eid. We are taking a firm stand to support only those mosques/organizations which will ensure the unity of our ummah. We refuse to give our financial support and donations to the separation of the unity of Muslims. Hajj takes place in Mecca. So far we have managed to go to Hajj all together, and end at Arafa together. We don't choose to start and end our Hajj at the decision of our community, or at the time which fits our own agenda. We all face Mecca for prayer. Let's all celebrate together. Let's not disappoint our families and loved ones by not having "Eid Salat" together
The division in our communities remains a real problem that affects every one of us during the holidays. Take the link to this petition and post it directly on your mosque or organization Facebook page today. We need to demand that our leaders commit to a unified calendar for Eid.

The momentum behind this call for unity reflects a deep frustration that we all feel across the country. Take this link to your local mosque leaders today and demand that they sign on to align our Eid prayers. We must force the conversation into their boardrooms before the next cycle begins.

Finally someone said it. It makes no sense that half the city celebrates on one day and the other half on the next. Ruins the whole spirit of the holiday for the kids.
