Doral Academy's 8th grade class has had it bad enough with these class shirts. Now, a PIRATE themed prom. We aren't in 3rd grade, everyone is already unhappy about paying $50 and an extra $40 to participate in 8th grade activities. We at least deserve to enjoy them. This theme needs to change. We aren't going to pay $90 for this
I have been hearing from so many of you who are just as exhausted by these costs as I am. We are currently drafting a formal letter to the administration to explain why a pirate theme feels so insulting given the high price tag for this event.

Seeing so many of my classmates join in this effort proves I am not alone in feeling frustrated by this ridiculous theme. It feels good to know we are all on the same page about wanting a prom night that actually respects our time and money.

honestly this is dumb, this might be my last year at doral and i want to make it memorable. They should have some themes like the Oscars for Last year. Something that can make this memorable, like the oscars or something professional. Not some 2nd grade kids party

Ok so honestly if we're going to pay 90$ for this,it should me an amazing and memorable night. Pirate seems immature and dumb, we should be able to have a good theme since we're basically paying for it. No one's going to want to go to a pirate theme night and it's logical considering we're going to spend 90$ on it plus 100+ for our dresses, heels ,makeup, etc.

We deserve better than a kid themed party. Why are we paying $90 or more to go to a ratchet prom.
