The current theme set for Bonney Lake High School's 2018 prom is "Sailed Away". Many students have expressed dissatisfaction, and half the class has suggested a masquerade theme in the past. This petition is created and signed by students to request a change from the student and staff prom committee.

I really thought this might just stay a quiet idea between a few friends but the response has completely blown me away. None of this happens without you taking the time to back this change. I am truly humbled by how many people care about this as much as I do.

ASB sucks at picking themes, they do not include the majority of the people paying for it, they choose what is convenient for them. ASB is a joke and shouldn't be allowed to pick our prom for us anymore. A masquerade ball isn't all about wearing a mask, its about a night of elegance and mystery.
I love the idea. And hopefully mire will sign. It sounds like a great idea to end my senior year
I'm not going if it's not a masquerade; our prom theme should be our choice. Our money is going towards this event FOR SENIORS.
A Masquerade Ball sounds far more interesting than Sailed Away. I'll sign, this would be far more worth it.
We can do better then "Sail away" I know we can, and like many others I love the idea of Mascurade. We're willing to take off our masks at check in, and we can bring IDs. We can make this work!

I think the entire senior class should have a say on the theme of our prom and ASB needs to include more voices
