A majority of the female students at JFK have bought their prom dresses already and deserve to wear them. It's not fair to put in place a dress code 2 WEEKS before prom! If a girl is wearing a dress that's in violation, what are the consequences?? It's not so simple to buy a new dress like some may think, not only are prom dresses expensive, most are NON RETURNABLE NON REFUNDABLE!! Is the school going to refund the money we spent on our dresses and or ticket if we can't wear them or they won't let those in who are in violation?? PLEASE SPREAD THE WORD AND IF YOU AGREE ASK YOUR PARENTS TO CALL/EMAIL TO COMPLAIN TO THE SCHOOL! Let's make a difference guys! We have a week and a half to make a change!!

The administration at JFK thinks they can punish us for buying dresses they approved months ago. We are nearly at one hundred signatures so get this link to every student you know right now. If we hit this target today they cannot ignore the pressure we are putting on them.

Most of the stores have policies for the prom dresses, non refundable/returnable. In addition to, most of the girls purchased dresses in advance. So my question is, will KHS administration refund the cost for prom to the parents? Last minute policy makes absolutely no sense!

This is unfair for the girls who bought their prom dresses months before this was released. I belive the student should be able to wear their dresses this year and then enforce the dress codes the following school year.

The statements made about young women complying and being "modest" at the school event are contradictory in the respect that young men are allowed to be shirtless at football games, a school event.

Pls take the 2-piece into consideration as this is so in style for 2017. I bet a lot of parents agreed to buy this kind of dress. As long as it is not revealing and does not show a lot of skin then it should be fine. Thank you, Flor

The lack of responsibility within the Kennedy staff is disappointing and unprofessional. Seeing how adamant they are about abiding by the dress code, they should have taken initiative and spread the rules on dress code months before. Students with outfits that do not fall into the rules therefore should not be punished due to the neglect of the staff.

This is insane if they expect everyone to follow the dress code... A bunch of my friends, myself included, didn't even receive an email, just heard about it from other students. My dress was over $200 including getting it tailored, and as everyone pretty much knows, you cant get a refund on special occasion dresses... Honestly just really annoying.
