The district confirmed tonight that Mr. McAuliffe will return for the next school year. We have met our primary objective and will now focus on monitoring the transition to ensure this decision is fully honored.

** We've received word that Mr. McAuliffe will be returning for the 2019/2020 school year!!! We did it everyone!! **
I have received countless emails and messages from all of you concerned CURRENT Oxbow parents and FUTURE Oxbow parents. You've all asked "What can I do?" "What can WE do?" After discussing a few plans many of us decided creating a petition would be the best start. I've heard all you naysayers too and NO I will NOT STEP DOWN and neither will many of the other parents who support and want to KEEP Mr. McAuliffe here at Oxbow. And to the HVS member who keeps sending me the encrypted emails NO this is not something Chris asked for it is 100% involuntary! Our concerns and opinions are just as important and should MATTER TOO when it comes to this decision! This is the best way to get our voices heard. We will come up with other actions here by the end of the week if the board continues with their catastrophic decision. #dontletthemdismisschris #parentshaverights

My family along with hundreds of past present and future Oxbow families would be devastated if Chris wasn’t our principle anymore. He is the glue that holds us together. As the Vice President of the parent council for 3 years now, I know first hand how amazing he is with his staff and students. Please reconsider removing him.
We moved to White Lake 5 years ago and started Oxbow when Mr. M first year as principal. He is a wonderful man and wonderful role model to these young kids. If we ever had an issue he would take actions to help solve the problem. He is a great guy and handles thing very professional. He makes Oxbow a great community.
Chris is a dedicated Huron valley employee. He has served our school and community for many, many years. He has mentored members of my family and he served as a dedicated fireman with my father and brother. He is a true hero and an inspiration.
Please do not get rid of our principle he is the heart and soul of Oxbow. We are school of choice and he is the reason I chose that school for my kids. You are doing a disservice to all of these kids if he leaves.
He taught me in 5th grade (treated me as he treated his own children) and served as the Dean of Students my first year of high school. Phenomenal person with a lot of character who pours his heart into everything he does. If anything, he is OVER-qualified to work in HVS.
My granddaughter just loves him, he interacts with the kids like they were his own. He needs to stay right where he is!
Having him as a teacher and a role model made me the person I am today! He was my 5th grade teacher and my vice principal when I was in high school! By far one of the most influential teacher I had in all my years of school. Always made sure all of his students were happy and safe. Poor mistake to let him go, Shame on Huron valley schools.

We have seen dramatic positive changes in Oxbow since Chris has been principal. He is a positive role model and it is clear how much he cares and supports our children. It would be a travesty to remove him from this cohesive environment that he was instrumental in creating and nurturing!
