Service 969 is a high demand servie serving as a direct express between Tampines and Punggol Rd/Yishun with few stops in between, and is a huge passenger favourite compared to alternatives like 168.
Come 18 Dec 2016, service 969 will be amended to Tampines Concourse. This will increase the burden of the already high loading on 969 which is often full to the front door during peak and non-peak hours alike, and add on to the travelling time of service 969.
Furthermore, this will cause future residents to be unable to board 969 at times towards Yishun/Woodlands as the bus is already full when it reaches TampineS Concourse
We hope that LTA and the public transport operators can find a better solution than to amend service 969 which already has very high loading. Do support our petition if you feel that 969 should not be amended!

This is crazy.Even a double decker bus can be 80% filled at tampines int and now you want to amend to ply 3 more stops.Stop creating havoc and destroy our daily commuting habits.
With the new fleet that consists of citaros and double decks instead of more bendy and double deck,it's just making things worse for us.Now I wouldn't want to take it anymore.
The 969 buses currently present at Yishun Mrt stations always seem to be full even during non peak hours and the duration between each buses are unstable. This would make the trip unreliable for us whom use this bus for travel often. Please take this into consideration. Thank you.
The plight of Service 969 commuters is just like the plight of Service 190 commuters where people have to miss bus after bus because they are unable to board as the demand is too high. LTA really has to find a solution to this or else, history is just gonna repeat itself.
Stop overcrowding our public buses further!

It is a silly idea for a detour that is pretty much serve almost no purpose. I will suggest LTA to look into retaining the existing route from Tampines towards Woodlands while taking on the new route from Woodlands to Tampines via Tampines concourse.
