Why should we lose our only bus stop and be made to travel further just to reach a bus stop when Newsham Farm Estate have 6 bus stops and no one needs to walk more than 100m?
Why has Arriva spent all this money on new eco buses to then prevent users from getting the bus and leaving us no choice but to use our cars when we should be helping the environment?
Has anyone even been informed properly about this change? The lack of communication here is appalling and we have been given no real reason. Even those that work at our local depot do not know!

Arriva is still refusing to explain why they are cutting our access while keeping six stops at Newsham Farm Estate. Post the petition link on Facebook and tag their official account to demand an answer. We need to keep pressure on them until they explain this decision to our neighborhood.

It is rare that I do not see someone waiting for this bus so it must be frequently used. My husband and I enjoy using it frequently to go to town helping prevent congestion in Newcastle centre and more environmentally friendly than everyone using their cars. Please keep this service running.
It is a disgrace that no-one was consulted on the estate regarding this. We've already lost one bus stop and now face the prospect of a 20 minute walk to the nearest one. That is okay for younger folk but there are a lot of older people who use these stops too.
I see no benefit to arrive in removing this stop. The 3 mins it would same (I have timed it many times) is so insignificant and not worth all the bad publicity.
The reason this bus is been withdrawn is due to the car parking on the grass verges along sandringham drive. A lots of complain have been made to the council about this problem, so there solution was just to re-route the bus, in total disregard to local people. Very bad news for the old people who have no choice.
Shocking news. I have a detailed email to arrival with my disgust. I have a 13 old who uses the x13 as I live blackthorn drive. There is now way during the winter months I would allow her to risk walking through the cut on her own from Newsham. Really disappointed with Arriva.
I also finish work at 8 most nights and an extra walk in the dark is not what I need when I just want to be home. I don't know if people are aware that the venue for the council meeting on the 16th has changed. It is now at briardale community centre in cowpen.
This is going to have a huge impact on my work, I finish at 8 a lot of nights and having a bustop out of the estate is dangerous for the dark nights, not happy at all.

We have three sons who regularly use this service including one who is disabled. Disgusted that they will have to walk so far especially when weather gets bad. Will be forced to use car.
