The ministry finally backed down and Denbigh High School will keep its name. These bureaucrats tried to erase our history for a photo op but we forced them to listen. Stay alert because we proved that our identity is not up for sale.

As a past student of DHS, it has become a part of my Identity and many others. A proposal has been made by an unknown group to the ministry for a name change in honor of MP Mike Henry. I am personally grateful for his many contributions to the institution, but the name that is now my Identity should change for no one. Please for your support. For our Denbigh High School.

The ministry thinks they can just strip away our identity to suit a politician but they have clearly underestimated this community. Reach out to every former student you know and force them to sign this right now. We need the thousand-signature mark to prove that Denbigh High is not for sale.

I believe the school name should remain unchanged not because of a persons contributions doesn't mean the school should be renamed in is name. Other facilities on the school has already been named after him no need for the school name to be changed to his.
We need to stop running around naming our institutions after athletes and politicians! As a past student I strongly oppose it as I did when my other Alta Mata, Vere Technical high, was proposed to be rename after Hugh Shearer. Lets our institutions keep their identity
Denbigh then Denbigh now Denbigh high forever. No name change for my school please it as come from too far and been through too much ,thanks for your many contributions sir but this aint gonna happen, please leave my school out of the politics
I have so many good memeories at this institution. Denbigh High has come a long way from secondary to comprehensive and now high school for over 45 years. The name should not be changed. There is a Denbigh Primary, let there be a Denbigh High.
I do not wish for the name of my former high school to be changed. It has become apart of who I am. Changing it's name will only strip me of all my affiliations with the school. I love my school and it has come a long way. Keep the name! !!
Best school ever
Am in total agreement to the movements, name should remain the same. In showing Mr. Henry our appreciation, I suggest we name a part of a building after him, a lab, library or something. Kind regards.
